How VetAtlas checks tools

A clear boundary between what a vendor says, what a public page shows, and what remains unknown.

What Checked means

The official site was reachable, a pricing path was reviewed, integration information was recorded, and vendor claims shown by VetAtlas link to their source.

What we do not conclude

We do not certify security, compliance, clinical performance, compatibility, or return on investment. Vendor statements remain attributed.

Unknown information

Not stated means the reviewed public source did not provide the information. Unverified means the source could not support a conclusion during the check.

Freshness

Every tool shows its last check date. After 90 days, the record can carry a re-check pending note without silently changing its underlying evidence.

Retirement

A tool enters the graveyard only after a dated source supports discontinuation or absorption and an editorial review confirms it.

Sponsorship

Paid placement is always labeled. It cannot change evidence status or move ahead of checked organic results inside a checked filter.

Corrections

New checks append evidence history. A correction does not erase the source snapshot that preceded it.
